Maybe somebody knows how to fix it? I'm not an amp guy.Įverything is original and stock. I tried starting it up recently and it doesn't power on, so I'm selling as For Parts/Repair. It's been at my parent's house in storage for about five years. It's build like a tank.ĭespite being gigged, it is very clean for its age. This kind of like a bolder, tighter Twin Reverb, if I were to compare it to anything. This amp, once repaired, will be a great pedal platform amp. rockers like Sonic Youth, Blur) and the amp took those like a champ. The amp also has a Mix knob which lets you blend both clean and drive channels.īack in the day, I ran (these aren't included) a Russian Electro-Harmonix Big Muff, Small Stone, CryBaby and a Boss Delay through this through the Clean channel (ala. The cleans on this amp are where this amp shines (keep reading), drive channel is OK. It is a dual channel amp (clean and drive). III 2x12 combo to keep up and the Tube Works STILL had more power. In the early 2000's, our other guitarist had just bought a Marshall JCM900 Mk.

I'd love to see a shoegaze or doom rocker buy this. I always thought it was all-tube because it was so LOUD, but from what I'm reading it has a tube preamp with a MosValve Solid State Power Amp. It will more than keep up in a band setting with a drummer, bassist and other guitarist. It's VERY loud and I've never had a problem cutting through the mix. This amp has seen action at rock clubs in Pennsylvania, outdoor parties, auditoriums and large venues like Penn State University's HUB Student Center Hall. I went to the store he bought it from and followed suit buying the combo. The guitarist in a psychedelic, shoegaze band we gigged with called "The French Connection" was using the head equivalent at an unmiked gig and it just roared. I purchased this amp to play with my high school garage band in 2002 when we started gigging. These are the brand of amps Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age (QOTSA) used. (A bedroom musician may want to choose a different amp like a Fender Princeton or Deluxe.) It may not look like it, but I'd definitely consider this by today's standard a " Rigs of Doom" amp, having gigged with this for years. Amp will be shipping from Reading, PA (19601).

(This is about 80 pounds!) Please message me first with your zip code, if you'd like me to ship. I'd prefer local pickup, as shipping heavy amps can be a pain but will ship if necessary. Up for sale is a used Tube Works Genz Benz BK Butler Dual Twelve 7100 MosValve 2x12 guitar combo amp from the 1990's.
